With the approach of winter also comes the possibility of inclement weather, dangerous road conditions, and the need to consider school cancellations and early dismissals.
“Do you know how blackberries are made? Do they grow on a bush, a stalk, or a tree?” These were the kind of questions the students at the Upper Elementary were asked earlier this semester. They had the privilege of having the owners/family of Mule Barn Berry Farms from Lathrop, Missouri visit to promote the Farm to School program.
The Smithville School District is one of 547 school districts in the U.S. and Canada being honored by the College Board with placement on the 5th Annual AP® District Honor Roll for increasing access to AP course work while simultaneously maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP Exams.
The Smithville School District received a rebate of $703.03 through the Missouri School Boards' Association's procurement card (P-Card) program.
