Mrs. Jennifer Robinson, EdS, LPC
Hello! I love being a School Counselor at Smithville High School! I started at SHS in the 2004-2005 school year. Before coming to SHS, I worked at Valley View (alternative) High School in Blue Springs for 5 years. I have also worked with children in foster care, residential treatment, and facilitated family therapy. I grew up in northeast Missouri - in a little town called Edina. I came to the Kansas City area in 1990 to attend college at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO and I have never left!
At SHS, I work with students in grades 9-12 with last names O-Z. I also work with all Foreign Exchange students and I am the AP Coordinator. The best part of my job is getting to work with students to help them reach their potential and meet their goals.
I have a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from Avila College and an Education Specialist Degree in Guidance & Counseling with a School Counseling Emphasis from UMKC. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri since 1999.
In my personal life, I am married with two grown children. They both graduated from SHS (class of 2018 and 2021). In my spare time, I like to sing, garden, watch my kids play sports, and cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Remember...it's always a great day to be a Warrior!
