Mrs. Brittany Huckeby

Hello parents and students! My name is Brittany Huckeby and I am very excited to be part of the Warrior family here at Smithville Primary. I have been a kindergarten teacher in the Smithville School District since 2014.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I graduated from the University of Central Missouri in May, 2008. I received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education. Upon graduating I moved to Junction City, Kansas and taught kindergarten for two years at Ft.Riley Elementary. In June of 2010 I had my first child, Brody. I moved to Eldon, Missouri in July of 2010 and taught kindergarten there until 2014.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe that education should be a fun experience and school should be an exciting place where students take ownership of their own learning. I think the classroom should be an environment of discovery and inquiry. I have always loved working with children and I am excited to watch my students grow and learn in kindergarten.
