Sarah Doubenmier

I've been teaching since 2006 when I graduated from Rockhurst University.  I started my career teaching high school English at Turner High School in Kansas City, Kansas.  In 2015 I began teaching 7th grade English Language Arts in Smithville.  I'm currently teaching ELA I and II at the High School

My teaching goal is for students to become successful. I want them to learn and use thinking skills and methods to lead them down the path to success in their lives. Ultimately when they leave my English class they will take with them the ability to critically think about what they read, write, and discuss to the highest levels to which they are capable.  I want them to gain the skills they will need in the next phases of their lives.  I don't need them to remember the specific lesson we did on semicolons in my class, but I will feel like I've made my goal when they use semicolons correctly throughout the rest of their lives.

I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, bird watching, and keeping up with the Royals!

I will be a 9th grade warrior time teacher and I am WARRIOR STRONG and we are BETTER TOGETHER!
