Mr. Dustin Pearson

Good Afternoon,

My name is Dustin Pearson and this will be my third year teaching special education at Smithville High School and eighth year overall in education. I began my career working for two years in the Kearney R-1 School District. I spent the last three years teaching special education in the Gallatin R-V School District. I am an avid hiker, traveler, baseball fan, concert goer, healthy lifestyle, and reader.

I came to education after growing up in the field. My mom is a retired teacher of 31 years and could not imagine myself doing anything different. My sister is 24 years old and works in human resources. I am a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area and a Liberty High School and Northwest Missouri State University Alum.

I will be teaching CWC American and World History, and Civics. I will also be teaching ELA 12 and Life Skills Social Studies. I also am the C Team Baseball Coach and assistant middle school football coach. I am also pursuing my doctorate degree in Adminsitration from Saint Louis University. Lastly, I have a deep passion for helping all students utilize their strengths to continue developing as students and citizens. I consider it a great privilege to give all students the opportunity to learn and accomplish whatever goals they set their mind to.

I will be a 11th grade warrior time teacher and I am WARRIOR STRONG and WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
