Taylor Middleton

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL for 11th and 12th Grade Students

I am a 1997 graduate of Smithville High School!  When I'm not at school I try to spend as much time with my family as I can.  My wife Melissa and children Haze and Grace love camping, hunting and fishing.  We love entertaining and cooking too!  I believe Smithville is the best place to raise a family.  That's what ultimately brought me back home to work in our school district.

In 1995 I decided I wanted to not only be a teacher and a coach but I decided that one day I wanted to do that back in my hometown and I am blessed to say that that dream has come true!  I had so many people that influenced my decision and supported me in my pursuits in high school that I felt compelled to give back.  I wanted to be able to support other young people the way those teachers and administrators supported me.

At SHS I'm in a unique position.  I am an Assistant Principal as well as a Weight Training Teacher.  I am also the Head Wrestling Coach for both our Boys and Girls teams.  My multiple hats allow me to interact with people in so many different places.  It's a perfect fit for me to be able to work with our faculty and staff supporting our students and still be able to work along side other coaches and parents and also tackle the ever changing topics that affect our Physical, Mental/Emotional, and Social Health everyday in my classroom.

I will be an Assistant Principal, a Teacher, a Coach.  Be A Warrior, and Be The One!!!
