Angela Sanders

Welcome!  My name is Angie Sanders.  My family and I have lived in Smithville for about 19 years. I grew up in central Illinois.  We moved to Smithville because my husband is an Associate Pastor at Grace Community Church.  We have 2 children that attend Smithville Schools. I love the Smithville community and I love teaching at SHS.

My mother was a teacher and I always dreamed of opening a school with my best friend.  Although all of those dreams did not come true, I have stayed true to those original passions.  I was challenged and encouraged by several high school teachers and chose to become a high school math teacher because of the change that Mrs. Martin, Mr. Blade and Mr. Lanning made in my life.

This year I will teach Algebra 1, Foundations of Algebra, Geometry and sponsor Interact Club.    This is my 12th year teaching in Smithville. I previously taught in both Raytown, MO and DeSoto, MO.  I earned my Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education from Southeast Missouri State University and my Masters in Education from MidAmerica Nazarene University.

This year I am a 10th Grade Warrior Time Teacher and I am WARRIOR STRONG and will work hard to BE A LEADER for each and every student.
