Mr. Zach Anderson is joining the Maple Elementary family as a PE Teacher. Mr. Anderson is originally from Kansas City, MO. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Western State University in K-12 Physical Education. Mr. Anderson student taught in the Park Hill School District in 2022.


Dr. Matty Benkofske is joining Smithville High School as a Science Teacher. Dr. Benkofske is originally from Papillion, NE. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in Biology and Spanish, and a Doctorate in Applied Statistics and Research Design from the University of Nebraska.


Ms. Randa Brown is joining Maple Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. Ms. Brown earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Western State University in Elementary Education. She previously taught in the Saint Joseph and Mid-Buchanan school  districts.


 

Ms. Lisa Brunker is joining the Horizon Elementary family as a Recess Aide. Ms. Brunker is originally from Cameron, MO. She retired from Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health in October of 2021.


Mrs. Jessica Chetto is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as a Recess Aide. Mrs. Chetto is originally from St. Joseph, MO. She previously worked in the North Kansas City School District.


Mrs. Stephanie Cook is joining Maple Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. Mrs. Cook is originally from LeMars, IA. She is currently attending Lindenwood University to pursue her bachelor's degree.


Mr. Lance Cowan is joining the Eagle Heights Elementary family as a 6th Grade Math Teacher. He is originally from Aberdeen, SD. Mr. Cowan earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northern State University and is currently pursuing a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. 


Mrs. Becky Crosby is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as a Special Education Teacher. Mrs. Crosby earned a Bachelor's Degree from Truman State University in Psychology, a Master's in Special Education from Northwest Missouri State University, and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Park University. She previously worked at Truman High School and Oak Park High School.


Miss Lexie Duncan is joining Smithville High School as an Assistant Softball Coach. Miss Duncan is originally from Smithville, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Park University in Exercise Science.


Ms. Megan Dusanek is joining the Maple Elementary family as a 3rd Grade Teacher. Ms. Dusanek earned a Bachelor's Degree from the Northwest Missouri State University in Elementary Education. She previously taught at St. Charles Borromeo Academy.


Mrs. Megan Elliott is joining Horizon Elementary School as an Instructional Assistant. Mrs. Elliott attended Southwest Baptist University. She previously worked as a certified pharmacy technician.


Mr. Joey Elliott is joining Smithville School District as a Helpdesk Technician. Mr. Elliott is originally from Windsor, MO. He previously worked in the Technology Department at Southwest Baptist University and Excelsior Springs School District.


Mrs. Anne Hicklin is joining the Eagle Heights Elementary family as an Instructional Assistant in the Warrior Preschool Program. Mrs. Hicklin earned a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Central Missouri in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. She previously operated an in-home day care, was a private nanny, and taught at LaPetite Academy.


Pat Huegerich is joining the Eagle Heights Elementary family as a Recess Aide. Ms. Huegerich is originally from Trimble, MO.


Ms. Kristina Hughes is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as an Administrative Assistant. Ms. Hughes was a long-term substitute at Eagle Heights Elementary School during the 2021-2022 school year. She previously was a substitute teacher and a paraprofessional.


Miss Abbey Imhoff is joining Smithville High School as the C Team Volleyball Coach. Miss Imhoff is originally from Smithville, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri State. She works as the Director of Marketing at Wardell & Holmes Real Estate.


Ms. Samariah Jordan is joining the Horizon Elementary family as a 6th Grade Science/Social Studies Teacher. Ms. Jordan earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Elementary and Special Education. She has taught preschool for the past 7 years.


Mr. Bryan Jundy is joining Smithville Middle School as an Assistant Football Coach and Smithville High School as an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach. Mr. Jundy earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Western State University in Business and a Master's in Engineering from the University of Alabama Birmingham.


Caitlin Lash is joining Maple Elementary School as a 6th Grade ELA Teacher. Caitlin earned a Master's Degree from Missouri State University in Elementary Education. She previously taught 3rd Grade, 5th Grade and K-5 Title Reading.


Miss Julia Lee is joining Smithville High School as an Assistant Dazzler Dance Team Coach. Miss Lee is originally from Smithville, MO. She has worked with the Dazzlers as a volunteer for the past 5 years.


Mrs. Savana Luft is joining the Smithville Middle School family as an 8th Grade ELA Teacher. Mrs. Luft earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Western State University in English and is currently pursuing a Master's of Education from University of Missouri - Kansas City.


Miss Lauren Macali is joining Smithville Middle School as a 7th Grade ELA Teacher. Miss Macali earned a Bachelor's Degree from Graceland University in Education with a 5-12 ELA Concentration. She previously taught swim lessons for 8 years at the Maryville Aquatic Center.


Mr. Jacob Majeske is joining the Smithville High School family as a Social Studies Teacher.  Mr. Majeske earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Western State and a Master's in Education from William Jewell College. He student taught at Excelsior Springs High School.


Mrs. Jeanie Martin is joining Eagle Heights Elementary School as a Preschool Educator. Mrs. Martin is originally from Casper, WY. She has a degree in Early Childhood and has worked in early childhood for 20 years.


Ms. Natalia McMillan is joining Smithville High School as an ELA Teacher. Ms. McMillan is originally from Platte City, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri State University in English/Secondary Education and a Master's in English Education from the University of Missouri.


Dr. Matt Mettler is joining Smithville High School as a Social Studies Teacher. Dr. Mettler is originally from Forest Lake, MN. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from Gustavus Adolphus College, Master's Degrees from Stanford, the University of Iowa, and the Upper Iowa University, and his Doctorate from the University of Iowa. Previously he was a Lecturer of History at Upper Iowa University.


  

Debbie Parnacott is joining Smithville School District as a Process Coordinator. Ms. Parnacott earned a Bachelor's Degree from William Jewell College in English, a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Central Missouri, and is pursuing a Ed Specialist Degree from the University of Arkansas. She has 15 years of classroom experience.


Mrs. Makenna Rendon is joining Smithville High School as a FACS Teacher. Mrs. Rendon earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri State University in FACS Education. She previously worked as a hearing aid consultant, optician, and substitute teacher.


Ms. Sydney Rolfe is joining the Smithville Middle School family as an Art Teacher. Ms. Rolfe is originally from Eureka, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Union University in Art Therapy and  Master's in Education from Southwest Baptist University. She previously taught in Kansas City, MO and Chicago, IL.


Mrs. Courtney Saxton is joining Maple Elementary School as a 4th Grade Teacher. Mrs. Saxton earned a Bachelor's Degree from Missouri Southern State University in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education. She has 12 years of experience, having taught 2nd through 5th grade.


Dr. Donald Simon is joining Smithville High School as a Business and Marketing Teacher. Dr. Simon has earned a Master's Degrees in Marketing, Media Communications, Intellectual Property, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois - Chicago School of Law. He has nearly 20 years of experience teaching in higher education.


Ms. Jenna Spence is joining Maple Elementary School as a 1st Grade Teacher. Ms. Spence is originally from Liberty, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Emporia State University in Elementary Education. 


Jennifer Stone is joining Maple Elementary School as a 4th Grade Teacher. Ms. Stone attended Drury University in their Post-Bac Teaching Certification Program. She has been teaching 4th Grade in Wyoming for the past 8 years.


Mr. Dave Tyner is joining Smithville High School as the Head Volleyball Coach. Mr. Tyner earned a Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Northwest Missouri State University in Education. He has 12 years of experience coaching public school volleyball, and 14 years coaching club volleyball.


Mr. Christopher Winston is joining Smithville High School as a Custodian. Mr. Winston is originally from Smithville, MO. 


Mr. Steven Woods is joining Maple Elementary School as a Special Education Teacher. Mr. Woods earned a Bachelor's Degree from Western Governors University in Business Administration and is currently pursuing a Master's in Special Education from the University of Missouri. He has 7 years of experience in education, including 2 years as the Behavior Interventionist at Maple Elementary School.


Mrs. Noelle Zule is joining Smithville Middle School as a 7th Grade ELA Teacher. Mrs. Zule is originally from Liberty, MO. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Northwest Missouri State University in Education. She previously taught 5th Grade at Atchison Elementary School.
