Miss Leslie Dickherber

My teaching career began in the Fall of 2000 in Smithville after earning my Masters from Northwest Missouri State University in Physical Education.  The small town dynamics originally brought me to Smithville similar to my home town of Mexico, Missouri.  Since 2000, I have earned another Masters in Instructional Technology. This community provides opportunities for me to enjoy the outdoors through gardening, biking, kayaking, fishing, camping, swimming, walking, jogging, etc. I enjoy being involved with Good Shepherd Catholic Church, the LifeRunners, & travelling to see the world, as well as my family.

As a service oriented profession that inspires & shapes minds of the most vulnerable & influential members of our society, teaching allows me to share the knowledge, skills, emotions of us as humans, as well as guide them through life experiences by my actions.  As teachers, we have the ability to mold the minds, bodies & souls of our youth.  I pray that I am able to do all these things to the best of my ability by being the BEST VERSION OF MYSELF in order to help others be their BEST VERSION.  Through our faults & failings, successes & triumphs, we will learn together, forgive one another & learn from each other.

The 2018-2019 school year provides me the opportunity to teach High School students in Physical Education including the following classes:  Co-Ed Physical Education, Weight Training, Female Weights & Outdoor Education.  My Coaching duties include 7th Grade Girls Basketball & Head Girls Track & Field.

My Warrior Time is with Seniors who will "FiINISH STRONG" to make this the best year possible.  I'm excited to get to know all my students, especially my Warrior Time kids, to help them learn & develop their gifts & passions. Together we ARE WARRIOR STRONG! With my peers, I am BUILDING STRONG!
