Degrees and Certifications:
I am teaching at the Primary Elementary School as a Special Education Teacher. I have my undergraduate degree from The School of the Art Institue of Chicago. My Masters degree is in Educational Leadership from Park University. I also have many graduate hours in counseling, art therapy, psycology and special education.
I have worked with students with special needs and individuals with autism in the public school setting for many years. I have also worked with individuals with special needs in private practice, home based therapies, as well as community based therapies, institutions, and group homes. This gives me an insight into other services and other realms that individuals with special needs will need to function successfully.
I like to use positive behavioral supports as a strategy for individuals with special needs along with sensory integration and multiple learning strategies to fulfill student’s social and educational learning.
