Mr. Dalton Pittenger

I am thrilled to be in my second year of teaching (both overall and here in Smithville)!

I was born and raised in Salina, KS and moved to Warrensburg, MO after graduating high school to pursue my B.S.E in speech communication/theatre. I student taught at Liberty North High School in Liberty, MO in the Spring of 2018 and began teaching at SHS in Fall 2018.

I am very excited to be working on our 2019-2020 theatre season, including:

The Addams Family- November 21-23, 2019

Museum - March 5-7, 2020

(I will also be directing a production of Curtains in the summer of 2020 with the River City Community Players in Leavenworth, KS!)

Favorite play/musical: Whichever one I'm working on at the moment!

I currently teach Theatre Arts I & II, Theatre Production I & II, Theatre Ensemble I & II, and Fundamentals of Speech.

We are also in the process of reactivating International Thespian Society Troupe 6819 here at Smithville High and we would love for you to follow our adventures in that realm.

Additionally, I am a 10th grade warrior time teacher and I am BUILDING STRONG!
