Mrs. Mary Kay Grusenmeyer - Coordinator of Parents as Teachers

My family moved from Ohio to Smithville in 1998.  My passion is helping parents develop skills to be their child's best teacher!  I love working with children and Parents As Teachers allows me opportunities to engage with families with young children.  It is very fulfilling to watch children develop from babies into preschoolers ready to head to kindergarten.

Mrs. Kelley Huff - Parent Educator

Hello! My name is Kelley Huff and I am a Parent Educator for the
Parents as Teachers Program here in Smithville. I love the Smithville
community! I’m a proud alumni and my roots run deep (literally...my
grandpa’s former farm is underneath the lake). I’m so thankful for the
opportunity to live, work and raise my family here in this great
community!

I have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters of
Arts in Biblical Archaeology. I love and value learning. I believe we
learn well through experience and during early years through play! It
is my privilege to work alongside, support, and encourage parents as
they lay the foundation for their child’s educational experience.

I live in Smithville with my husband and four children.  We stay pretty busy, my kids enjoy lots of different sports and activities.  I enjoy working with children.  Parents As Teachers (P.A.T.) is a great way for me to do love what I do.  My family was a part of P.A.T. when our children were younger.  I began working with Parents As Teachers in 2014.
