My wife Danielle and I moved to the Northland in 2009 and eventually made the move to Smithville in 2016 after spending a lot of time here anyway helping plant a church here in town. Our first son Merritt was born this past spring, adding to our family that also includes our two dogs, Obi Wan and Mara Jade.
2018 - 2019 will be my tenth year in education. I have spent the previous nine years as a math teacher at Winnetonka High School and am excited to now work in the town that I live. During my previous nine years, I have taught every math course from Algebra 1 to Calculus 1. Prior to teaching I earned my undergraduate degree at Southwest Baptist University and then received graduate degrees from Park University and Northwest Missouri State University.
I spent the summer at trainings with Project Lead the Way preparing for the first time this year to teach Intro to Engineering & Design and Principles of Engineering in addition to Geometry. I am looking forward to sharing my love of mathematics with the students of Smithville and, for the first time, working heavily with some applications of mathematics through Project Lead the Way.
I will be a 9th grade Warrior Time teacher and I am BUILDING STRONG!
