Mr. Dustin Pearson
My name is Dustin Pearson and this will be my first year teaching special education at Smithville High School and sixth year overall in education. I began my career working for two years in the Kearney R-1 School District. I spent the last three years teaching special education in the Gallatin R-V School District. I am an avid hiker, traveler, baseball fan, concert goer, healthy lifestyle, and reader.
I came to education after growing up in the field. My mom is a retired teacher of 31 years and could not imagine myself doing anything different. My sister is 22 years old and is completing her senior year at Park University. I am a lifelong resident of the Kansas City area and a Liberty High School and Northwest Missouri State University Alum.
I will be teaching CWC English 9, World and American History, English 9 Resource, and Study Skills. I will also be coaching middle school football. I have a deep passion for helping all students utilize their strengths to continue developing as students and citizens. I consider it a great privilege to give all students the opportunity to learn and accomplish whatever goals they set their mind to.
I will be a 11th grade warrior time teacher and I am WARRIOR STRONG and WE ARE BETTER TOGETHER!
