I am thrilled to be teaching ELA at Horizon! This will be my 21st year in the classroom. My teaching career began in Beijing, China; in addition, I have taught in Arizona and Texas.  For the past four years, I have been teaching ELA in Independence. The bulk of my experience is in middle school, teaching ELA and Math. I earned my BA in American Literature at the University of Arizona and my Master's Degree in Education at Ottawa University. 

 

For fun I love to read, spend time outdoors with my family, walk my dogs, exercise, and cook.  My husband and I have two daughters, Sloane and Grace, and two rescue puppies, Honey and Badger.
