High School Announcements

  • Late morning (around 11:00 am), emergency responders were dispatched to SHS to investigate a strange odor reported to administration.  Emergency responders, using sophisticated equipment, determined there was no threat/odor.  There was, however, a dissection experiment occurring in a science lab at the time which may have been the reported odor.

If anyone is suspected to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, it will be investigated by the school administrators with officer assistance. If it is determined that students are under the influence, they will not be allowed to enter or remain at prom. Parents will be called and asked to come pick up their child. • 2018 SHS After Prom

The SHS 2018 After Prom party is open to all Junior and Seniors and their dates. Students do not have to attend the Prom to attend the SHS After Prom party.  The After Prom party provides a substance-free all-night event for our students on a night when most are not ready to go home early.  Prom will be Saturday, May 5th, 2017 and the SHS After-Prom party will follow at the Northland Power Play on Barry Road.   Students need to print off and return the Power Play release form along with the SHS rules form (SEE ATTACHED PDF). These forms can be returned to the High School office or send via email to The party will begin following prom at midnight and go until 4:00 am. Students must check into the After Prom party before 1:30 and cannot return to the party if they leave.

This year’s theme is GAME ON and we are planning to provide competitive group games, photo booth, unlimited arcade games, unlimited go-karts, bumper cars, movies and lots of fun.  There will be an all-you-can-eat buffet with drinks and many prizes. We are offering T-shirts for sale until April 20th, so please send in the form along with $7.00 (SEE ATTACHED PDF). This party has been a highlight of the Junior and Senior class and has been well attended past years. This event is funded exclusively by donations and is coordinated by Junior and Senior parents.

In order to hold this year's event at no cost to the students, we are still in need of donations by April 20th, 2018.  Please send your donation through our GoFundMe link or by sending cash/check into the high school addressed to SHS 2018 After Prom.

We also have a signup for prize donations:  SHS 2018 AFTER PROM
