MOSCA Visits

MOSCA Visits

Dear Parent or Guardian,

MOCSA (Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault) has been invited to Eagle Heights Elementary March 12th-15th. We would like to make you aware of this visit so you can answer your child’s questions and hopefully continue our classroom discussion at home.

Students K-4th will be participating in a program called Project Aware. Project Aware is an educational program that teaches children about different ways to keep their body safe.

Students in 5th-6th grade will receive information about ways to keep their body safe and what to do if they ever feel unsafe or uncomfortable. They will define sexual harassment as being any unwanted behavior of a sexual nature.

We welcome your involvement, feedback and support in this team effort. If you would like for your child to NOT attend please contact Mrs. Downey at 532-5959 or downeyc@smithville.k12.mo.us.MOCSA provides their services for free and you can find more information about this organization at mocsa.org.
