Weekly Newsletter 11/29/2018
November 29, 2018
Good Afternoon. I hope you all have enjoyed our early snow, unfortunately, it will extend our last day of school by one day to be June 3rd. We will also have school on Presidents day which is February 18th. Originally we were scheduled to have that day off. I hope that we can make it through this winter without any more snow days but I am not feeling very confident about that:)
Mid-term is just around the corner (Dec. 7th) believe it or not so please follow up with your student on assignments and any struggles they may be having. Reach out to teachers or counselors anytime you have a concern or need help in any way.
Last week we attempted to send out a link to a survey and get your feedback and thoughts on “Random Drug Testing.” However, the link was not working. I have attached the new link in hopes that we can get a true picture on your thoughts so please participate. It is ONE question but does provide an area for feedback. Here was my information from last week the link that works. Thank you for your time in advance!
I wanted to share some details about something in the works. As I have mentioned numerous times, our kids are struggling with anxiety and depression. Sometimes students end up moving toward “numbing” their uncomfortableness through the use of drugs and various ways that are not healthy. I am currently part of a committee that is exploring Random drug testing for students. In order to get a pulse on where we are on this topic we’d like to give you as parents an opportunity to share your thoughts on this. Please click on the following link to answer ONE question and provide comments (if necessary) on this topic. We are NOT moving toward this process at this time. This committee is simply investigating options.
Lastly…Monday’s Matter will reconvene next Monday on a lesson in the library. Please watch our social media for the topic. I hope all of you join us for our Winter Assembly tomorrow morning at 8:45 am. We will be recognizing all winter sports and getting motivated for our Winter sports season!!

Yellow – 39 gallon 25 bags per roll
