Hello Warriors!  It is great to be back to school and get a full week under us for this new year.  We are approaching the final week of Semester 1, and we have a great deal to accomplish in order for each student toFinshSTRONG! Today started off our first set of finals.  Next week is a full week of finals so please make sure your student gets plenty of rest and healthy meals.  We want each student to know that as a staff we are behind them all the way and want to see EVERY STUDENT succeed. #WarriorSTRONG
Monday’s Matter
This is a good time to set some new goals as we move into Semester 2.  This episode focuses specifically on “habits.” It’s easy to equate busyness with success. Without focus on our daily routines and habits we are just a series of events moving from one to another while missing out on life itself.  Mike shares four things to focus on to begin creating good habits and live a life with purpose. Please watch this episode with your teen and open up the conversation about how busy they are and things they can do to lessen the load.

Here are the critical thinking questions.
Critical Issues
As mentioned in my last newsletter there is a Random Drug Testing committee that is meeting next week, however, that is not an open meeting. I will communicate the date of the open forum once I have it.  This week I am sharing some information on vaping again that will lead you to several more articles if you are interested. I know many parents don’t believe their teen has used a vape or would ever consider using one but I would disagree and ask that you educate yourself.  Have conversations with your teen and ask questions. The first step is to get them to talk. Many parents have been surprised when their teen gets caught and they find out how addicted they are to the vaping. Here is some general information on What is Vaping? This leads you to Beyond Nicotine: Vaping Marijuana. I hope that you take time to educate yourself on this epidemic and begin thinking about ways to help our teens make better choices.
Should you ever have any questions or concerns, please know that I am available to meet by appointment.  Call Mrs. Sutton or Mrs. Edwards (532-0405) and they will assist you in setting that up.
We have a very busy week ahead but it’s always a great day to be a warrior and I am proud to be leading this amazing school!  Have a great weekend!

Attention Seniors!
Seniors have been asked to start bringing in both a baby picture and a senior photo, to be shown in the presentation. Ms.Hanrion would prefer a baby photo and senior photo taken with their phones and sent to Ms. Hanrion because there were some issues with photos that were scanned last year. But if you would prefer to bring in a photo to have it scanned that would be great too!
If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to Ms. Hanrion at
The SHSC committee is collecting donations to make goody bags for teachers for next semester. Nothing like a little gift bag to start your second semester off with a smile.
If you would like to donate, please go to
If you would like to help assemble bags, we will be meeting in the cafeteria next Tuesday at 6pm.
Thank you for helping us show our high school teachers how much we value what they do!

Officer Buchheit has been patrolling the parking lots and noticed a lot of students are not displaying their parking pass. This is a must! Please make sure you are always displaying your parking pass. There will be a $5.00 fee assessed to any car not properly displaying their parking pass.
