Maple Elementary -

Our 5th graders put the Scientific Method into action today! To wrap up their unit on force and motion, students formed hypotheses, tested their designs, and analyzed the results during our pumpkin drop and egg drop experiments.

A huge shoutout to Brody and Kevin from Maintenance for helping set everything up and keeping everyone safe, and a big thank you to all who helped make this hands-on learning experience such a fun success!

There’s nothing quite like Buddy Classroom time! It’s incredible to see our older students working alongside our younger ones. Watching these connections grow is what building the Maple family is all about!

Today was our very first Rise and Shine Day!

We kicked off the morning by celebrating our Warrior Award winners alongside their families with a special breakfast. These students show us what it truly means to be a Warrior every single day!

Afterward, we held our Maple Assembly featuring some fantastic High School Trading Card students. We always love when they come visit us here at Maple!

Today we celebrated our amazing students who earned sub-tokens! These students were chosen for showing outstanding respect and kindness whenever a substitute teacher was in their classroom.

To celebrate, they got to enjoy a special lunch with our SPO, Officer Morales! Everyone had a blast!

Yesterday, our kindergarteners had a extra special visitor, Johnny Appleseed (aka Mr. Viebrock)! 🍎

We always love when he stops by to see our students here at Maple. It was so much fun!

A massive THANK YOU goes out to our incredible IT, Sean Quinn, today! We are taking a moment to celebrate IT Professionals Day and give Sean the special recognition he deserves.

Mrs. Greenfield’s class was hard at work sharpening their mental math strategies today! Students practiced building their math fluency through fun, hands-on games like Magic 10, Roll to 120, Making 10s, and mastering doubles and doubles +1. Great job, mathematicians!

Big smiles at Maple Elementary today! Dr. Jahn and Mrs. Meyer kicked off their classroom visits, partnering with our students to talk all about what it means to be a School Family. Classes across grade levels worked together on special projects to share what makes our school community so supportive. We love seeing our Maple family grow closer every day!

Day one at Maple is in the books! Energy levels were high, the halls were filled with laughter, and our hearts are officially full. We can’t wait to do it all over again tomorrow! See you then!

Big news for our Maple Family!

Please join us in celebrating our very own 6th-grade teacher, Ms. Bradberry, who was named the Smithville School District 2025 Advocate of the Year!

Ms. Bradberry constantly goes above and beyond to support, inspire, and advocate for every single one of her students. We are extremely lucky to have her on our team and part of our Warrior community.
