Attention 7th Grade Parents! Your student will need a TdaP and Meningococcal vaccine before entering 8th Grade. These vaccinations are REQUIRED for 8th grade. They will not be allowed to start the school year without these vaccines or a state accepted exemption.
The Clay County Health Department will be here December 4th hosting an immunization clinic. See https://www.smithvilleschooldistrict.net/o/sms/article/2516710 to sign up. You may also schedule an appointment with your child's pediatrician or directly with the Clay County Health Department by calling 816-595-4355. Most pharmacies also administer these vaccines - (Costco, Sam's, Walgreens, etc.) on a walk-in basis.
Please upload a copy of the vaccination record to PowerSchool or email Nurse Annie at fraziera@smithville.k12.mo.us. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Deadline to turn in these vaccines is April 6th, 2026.
