While parents are welcome to attend, there will be supervision at the courtyard park for students to socialize and have fun. The event is free but local businesses including Nellie's, Cornerstone Coffee and Snack Daddy's will be open late.
To help control traffic and ensure student safety, there is a parent pick up spot by the First Christian Church at 201 N Bridge St, Smithville, MO 64089. Students need to be picked up by 11:00pm. As a reminder to students and parents, Heritage Park closes at sunset.

What a great night to be a Warrior. It was awesome to see our students not only compete on the field, but also provide all the supports in other high value roles. Thanks to the support of our community in passing the April 2025 bond initiative, exciting improvements are underway at Smithville High School! The entrance, library, and several classrooms are being remodeled to better serve our students.

Just a reminder, tonight is our Back To School night where you can meet our staff and learn about the clubs, sports, and activities we offer at Smithville High School. Missouri students and families interested in the U.S. service academies are invited to Academy Day at Kearney High School on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025. Doors open at 9 a.m.; the program begins at 9:30 a.m. in the KHS Gym (715 19th St, Kearney, MO 64060).
