Today in Mrs. Carnes Physical Science class, students conducted a Calorimetry Lab to learn how much energy water absorbs from burning different food.
Our seniors have had a busy day today. They started their morning with a Senior slideshow, then graduation practice, then the Warrior Walk through the other Smithville schools, and ending their day with a Senior Picnic. We couldn't be more proud of the Class of 2025. #WarriorFamily -S. Moore

Over the weekend these six Warriors competed at the State Speech and Debate Tournament. Congrats to these students!
Our winter production of "Little Shop of Horrors" received 5 nominations from the Starlight Blue Star Awards Program. Our show competed against 65 other KC area high schools from both Missouri and Kansas, any nominations at all are a tremendous accomplishment.
Our five nominations are a SCHOOL RECORD and are as follows:
-Outstanding Ensemble
-Outstanding Orchestra
-Outstanding Performer in a Lead Role- Sylis Newman as Seymour
-Outstanding Performer in a Supporting Role- Dom Santulli as Mr. Mushnik

Ms. Haylee Schwab is the March Student of the Month! We celebrated her yesterday during lunch! Way to represent SHS!
Ms. Elliette Chambers was celebrated as Student of the Month for the month of February, but we missed sharing it to our community! Way to go Elliette! Let's give her a special shoutout!
