In their final game of action in the Metro Leadoff Tournament the Smithville Warriors defeated the Grain Valley Eagles by a final of 8-3. Senior Adin Murawski had a massive day at the plate, going 3-3 with two RBI’s and a run scored. Junior Ryker Edwards supplied two hits and one RBI of his own. On the mound Junior Justin Perkins turned in five quality innings in the start, allowing only three hits and one earned run, striking out 3 along the way. Junior Lukas Noecker picked up the save in the final two frames, allowing no hits and striking out one.
The Warriors are back in action Friday, March 25 for a home doubleheader vs the Grandview Bulldogs. First pitch is set for 4:00PM and 6:00PM.
