WARRIOR CLOSET

ABOUT WARRIOR CLOSET

The Warrior Closet is a free program set up through Smithville School District that allows families to have accessibility to the school supplies, clothing, and hygiene items that they need.  There are multiple dates throughout the year that are set up to allow families to shop and get the items that they need for their students. The dates can be found on the website.

The Warrior Closet is a community effort and everyone is welcome to donate gently used articles of clothing from size 3T to high school aged.  There is a metal bin located on the main campus behind Smithville Middle School where donations can be dropped off.  The items need to be in a bag and tied tightly. The only items that NEED to be new are underwear and socks and hygiene products.

We also have multiple opportunities throughout the year to help the Warrior Closet in ways other than donating clothes. There are times that Lisa Manz releases information about helping sort through donated clothes.  If you want to volunteer please contact Lisa Manz at 816-532-3178.

Smithville High School started a hygiene drive in 2019 to collect items for Warrior Closet. This was started by Molli Atkinson working towards her Girl Scout Gold Award and will be taken over by HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) for an annual event.

If you have any questions, you can contact Lisa Manz at her school email, manzl@smithville.k12.mo.us
