Early Childhood Screenings for all Smithville children ages 4 months through 5 years are being provided by the Smithville School District Parents As Teachers program. Screenings are being held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 9-11 a.m. at the SSD Central Office, 655 S. Commercial Ave. Smithville, MO.
**This is different than a Kindergarten Screening. If your child will be attending Kindergarten in Fall 2024, screenings will be held in April.**
Please sign up for a time. If you have multiple children please sign each child up for a slot. Plan on 30 minutes for the screening.
Included is a developmental screening, and a vision and hearing screening. Parents will complete a social-emotional questionnaire and brief health questionnaire about their child. Parents will stay with their children. A summary of the screening will be shared.
Anyone who resides within the Smithville School District boundary is eligible and encouraged to sign up. Please share with friends and neighbors.
