  • K-12 Returning Student Registration For 2022-2023 School Year Grades K-12 (Opens June 10th)

    Families that will be returning to the Smithville School District will update demographics and other information online.

    The 3 steps to enroll your child are provided below:

    Step 1:  Returning Student Registration can be completed by parents logging into their Powerschool Parent Portal Account

    Step 2:  Gather the following documents needed for online enrollment

    • Proof of Residency (utility bill, lease, or real estate contract within 30 days of the start of school) Grades: Kindergarten, 4th, 7th, and 9th
    • Updated Immunizations - Grades: Kindergarten, 8th, and 12th

    Step 3:  Once logged into the Powerschool Parent Portal Account, click Forms in the left-hand menu, select the Enrollment tab. Complete the forms under sub-heading Smithville Returning Student Forms. Click "submit" after each form.

     

    Transportation service must be requested during registration for your child to be scheduled for bus service.

    Frequently Asked Questions Which school will my child attend?

    You can access this information by going to the SSD School Finder and entering your new home address.  

    Students grades 7-8 will attend Smithville Middle School

    Students grades 9-12 will attend Smithville High School

     

    How can I contact my child's school?

    What if I do not know my PowerSchool Parent Portal login information?

    On the login screen there is an option "Forgot Username or Password" at the bottom of the page. This will email you instructions on resetting this information.

     

    If my student currently attends SSD, do I need to re-enroll each year?

    They do not need to be re-enrolled. However, Returning Student Registration will need to be completed each school year through the PowerSchool Parent Portal.  

    What if I don't have any Proof of Residency documents in my name?

    Please contact your child's school to explore other possible options.
