His natural talent for fostering positive relationships shines through in the classroom, where he makes every student feel valued and supported. Whether it's teaching, coaching, or lending a helping hand, Mr. Matthews actively seeks opportunities to assist others—often stepping in without being asked, whether it’s carrying boxes or solving a bigger challenge. SSD’s Bond Initiative will renovate classrooms at SHS, replacing aging spaces with updated, expanded learning environments. The focus will be on career preparation spaces, for example, culinary, business/marketing, biomedical science, and agricultural science. This will provide students with more room and opportunities to learn and prepare for their futures. Additionally, the project includes reworking the school’s entrance to enhance security.
